01.06.2003 - An important contract has been
awarded to Rima by KUENZ the famous Austrian crane manufacturer
for fourteen high-speed heavy-duty yard cranes destined to HHLA.
The peculiarity is the particular design of rail clamps to
render them suitable to the application onto cranes whose gantry
is continuously moving at speeds up to 150 m / min, minimizing the
wear of guides. A Technical article will appear on the June issue
of WCN on the topic of "storm brakes for fast-heavy duty
yard cranes"
A revolutionary system of TRIM LIST ANTI SNAG AND ANTISKEW SYSTEM
will be supplied by Rima for the four new PANUNITED cranes destined
to the port of Jurong.
The anti-skew function performed by the integrated TLS
system is a new application onto big high performance STS cranes.
In another order this month Rima will supply rail clamps
to Kranbau Koethen for three high speed RMGs currently under construction
for Infrserv GmbH in Fankfurt (2) and Röhrenwerk Gebr. Fuchs
GmbH in Siegen (1). Kranbau Koethen has chosen Rima’s innovative
“self blocking rail clamps”. The application is
for fast-heavy duty cranes.
